Order Cashout allows you to send back your order to get a partial refund (original payment method or store credit) of your items once you've finished with them. Order Cashout is available at anytime and will not 'sell out'.

Closet Cashout is a similar service however it allows you to send a big bunch of items instead of just items from your order, so you can send in items not purchased at The Thrifting Den too. However Closet Cashouts do sell out quite quickly and are only restocked every couple of weeks.

Order Cashout also allows you to send back items you have purcahsed that may be on the Closet Cashout 'not accepted brands' list and send back items you have purchased that are larger than 8 years (Closet Cashout you can only send up to 8 years)

Follow the steps in our Order Cashout portal.

You will be given the option to return the items yourself at your own cost OR we can organise for a shipping label to be emailed to you (must have access to a printer) and flat rate shipping fee of $7.50 deducted from your payout.

Please note we will NOT send you anything ie. a courier bag or label. If you choose for The Thrifting Den to provide you with a label, you must be able to print it and you can use any packaging you have to package up your return order.

That is totally fine and you have to agree to the purchase sheet emailed before payment is made. However prices are set and are non-negotiable. What we will offer you is a % of what we will list the item for on the website.

You are welcome to have your items returned however any return of items is at your own cost.

Once we recieve your box, we will inspect all items and offer you a price for them (emailed through as a purchase sheet). If there are items that are not accepted due to condition or criteria (ie an item has been found to have a hole in it you may have missed while packing), these items can be returned to you at your own cost.

Otherwise not accepted EUC items can be donated to our charity partner Nurturing Families, items that are not EUC and have flaws will be placed into our Sunday Seconds Sale for free so they can go to new homes to be re-loved again.

Payout price is decided based off of a % and what we plan on pricing the item as on the website.

For example Jamie Kay sits under the 30% tier of pricing. If you were to send a pair of essentials ribbed leggings, our usual pricing for these is $14, so you would be paid out 30% of that price which is $4.20.

Another example is Cotton On which sits under the 10% tier of pricing. If you were to send a Cotton On Kids printed t-shirt, we would usually sell these for $8, so you would recieve 0.80c for you item.

You can return orders within 180 days (approx 6 months), anything past that time frame will be ineligble for Order Cashout, however you will be able to send back anything past that time frame through out Closet Cashout service.

Once an Order Cashout has been started, you have 14 days to have your items en route to be sent back.

If you choose 'The Thrifting Den provides shipping label' as your return option for shipping, then the max size for your bag needs to be no bigger than 35cm x 25cm.

You get back a percentage of what the item will be listed for on the website in it's current condition at the time the item is received back. See below Payout Percentages brand list to see the detail.

For example.
If you originally purchased a brand new with tag item for $20 and it's since been worn, you would not be refunded a percentage of $20.

Other factors taken into account are current market value for brand/item, seasonality of item, popularity of brand/item etc.

Any items 'overly flawed' risk not being accepted at all and can be returned at your own cost, or will be put into the Sunday Seconds Sale as $0 to ensure they get rehomed and reused again.

Examples of 'overly flawed' are lots of marks (even light ones such as bubble formula marks), large or overly dark marks, holes/runs, heavy wash fade.

Please note The Thrifting Den reserves the right to sell an item for more than what it is paid out for, if it is the item was recieved flawed and we were able to remedy that flaw (ie. remove a small mark)

The Order Cashout service is just for the items purchased in your order and not extras.

"Cash" which would be paid back to your original payment method based on the below brand percentage amounts. Please allow up to 14 days for payment with this option (majority are paid within 7 days)

Or Store Credit where you can earn an extra 10% on the payout amount (ie. a brand that sits under the 40% payout percentage would now earn you 50%). Store Credit is usually paid out within 24 hours max.

Yes. You can do a partial return of an order now and the rest at another time. Please note you will be required to organise/pay for shipping for both returns however.

Yes this is fine to do.

For your first Order Cashout select appropriate return shipping option and for any other orders you're wanting to return at the same time please select 'customer provides shipping label' and leave a note to state it will be combined with Order Cashout return number #xxxx

Please note however that if you select the shipping option 'The Thrifting Den to provide shipping label', there is a max bag size of 35cm x 25cm

The below items will not be accepted.

- Any items purchased from the Sunday Seconds Sale
- Donations made to Nurturing Families
- Service items (ie. Sell With Us spot)
- items from the Garage Sale (adults clothing, toys, books, cloth nappies etc)

Please also note that the any shipping paid on your original order will also not be refunded.
